Barrister Comptek 2008 Fall Reunion

It was great to see those who made it to the gathering earlier this year.

Many liked the idea of getting together again to get us back on our fall schedule....so here it is :)

I thought we'd try a new place, the Century Grill (Pearl St, behind the Hyatt) I'll call them and try to get the upstairs area for us. At the corner of W.Huron and Pearl is an enclosed fee parking ramp on one corner, and adjacent to this ramp is a fee parking lot.

There is also street parking (parking meters shut off at 5pm). Let me know if you'll be there. I'll confirm the location later.

Hello out there,
I am Richard Ziarkowski transferred from Buffalo to New York City back in 1980. I am hoping to visit some relatives in Buffalo sometime in October maybe I'll make the reunion. Maybe

I join with Marcy in saying this is cool. For those who don't know me I was the Phila. area tech from 1983-2003. I'm now working for a Bio-Medical company called Omnicell. I still live in Southern New Jersey and work like to see others information since leaving BISC.

Ann Marie - nice venue for the gala. Thanks for the work in getting everything (including heading up a newsletter/website) together.

This is going to be fun catching up with others who can't make it into town. Like above already... hey Dan - good to hear from you and SNJ. And Marcy... well, what can I say about that????? : D

Rick Ziarkowski: how are you! Are you still in New York? I remember when you and Gary Hoerbelt made the leap from Buffalo back in the 80's. I've talked to Gary's wife Eileen a couple times in the intervening years - she was one of my Javelan clients before she started to do consulting work. Give us an update on what's happening with you.

Dan Ferentz: I remember you, too, Dan! Great to see your comment here.

Hubbard: what do you mean "what can I say about that??" - as long as I've known you, I can't remember you ever being at a loss for words!

Maybe we should all give a little update on what we're doing today as part of this blog - I'm a grandmother (Good God!), and I'm still in the billing-software-for-law-firms business, as a regional sales manager for RainMaker Software. Some of you might remember Jim Hammond and Kevin Standing - I work with both of them today, along with a couple of other ex-Barrister people, Mike McClintock and Stephanie Funcell. Barrister trained so many people through the years that every time I go to a legal tradeshow, it's like another reunion all over again.

That's what's up with me - what about the rest of you?

So...where was everyone?
Larry Rugen (NYC) drove in for the reunion...Larry, did you have a good time--thanks for coming in...maybe next year we'll get you, Dan Ferentz, and Don Delzio...Hey where's Roy Dixon these days? He came to a couple reunions..haven't seen him in awhile.

It was great to see all the familar faces at the reunion it was the 5th for me. Nice to see the effort Larry made to drive from NYC to Blo. Good job Guido. Well to update what I am up to here goes: After 25 years with Barrister in 1999 I went to work for Western NY Computing later changed name to Synergy Global solutions. I was there for the past 10 years, I have retired from the computer business and I am in the world of Philanthropy. I am the CEO for The Thomas and Jeanne Elmezzi Private Foundation. It is so gratifying to be able to help people less fortunate. If you like I can be reached at jrivero@jetfoundation.org.

Looking forard to the next reunion.
