Hi! I worked from around 1985 - 1992 at Barrister. My dad (same name) helped split Barrister from Comptek with Hank. I worked in Depot Repair at first, then moved on to Hardware Engineering. It was a great honor and learning experience working with such smart and talented guys as Ron Peck, Lou Majchrzak and Gerry Masker. I wrote all of the diagnostics for the different parts of the Blips and 3000 series mini-computers, and designed the 2nd generation of processors for the 3000 series minicomputer, but it never went to market as mini's were then discontinued. And at that point manufacturing was also discontinued. Barrister would become a service oriented company only from then on. I also met my current wife at Barrister, and we now have 2 children, Jimmy and Jessica. Her name is Lisa, and you would have known her then as Lisa Walters (with the long hair!).

Our company has several divisions, but mainly we make 3D Objects & Animations for Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) for film, TV, print ads, website graphics, movie special effects, video games, Corporate Logos and 3D Product Visualization, etc... As a life-long collector and history lover, I had tp set up a "Collector's Corner" - where you can now find tons of unique coin and other collectables. Last but not least, there is also a section called "Lee's Artisan Jewelry" where you can find Lisa's popular hand-made jewelry.

Hi Jim...of course I remember you and Lisa! As a matter of fact I've tried finding you both for the Barrister-Comptek reunions we've been holding annually...usually in October. You may remember me as Ann Marie Smith worked for Ken DeVantier and Bill Kossler..later remarried in 1992 and became Wayne. Good to hear from you! I expect we will have another reunion coming up in October..keep an eye out for email announcements through this website.
Take Care
